WAX
REMOVAL

Many People are anxious about having ear wax removed.

Microsuction is a gentle procedure which many NHS departments are switching onto from water irrigation through the 'syringing' technique.

A full and detailed medical history is taken to determine if any previous treatments or conditions could affect the microsuction procedure.

A thorough examination of the ears will record the condition of the ear canals and the wax.

There should be no discomfort from the procedure as long as your ears are not sore to begin with, however it can be perceived as being loud with rushing, hissing, slurping and squeaking noises being common.

Images of the ear before and after the procedure will be viewable by yourself at the appointment.

For advice on using olive oil drops before the appointment to soften wax, please click on the diagram below or contact us.
